MSNBC's Keith Olbermann smacks down the obstructionist Republicans and Blue Dogs who are getting major contributions from the health care industry.
PBS pointed out that the health and insurance industries are spending more than a million, 400 thousand dollars a day, just to destroy the "public option" - the truly non-profit, wieldy, round-up and not round-down, government, from helping you pay your medical bills with about a billionth of the recklessness with which it is still paying Halliburton and its spinoffs to kill your kids.
And much of this money is going to, and through, Republicans.
But that's the real point tonight.
Not all of it is going through Republicans...
According to teabagger thought, it is OK for one's politicians to take hundreds of thousands of dollars from the companies that are determined to deny all, including teabaggers, the healthcare they need. It is also OK for insurance companies to bankrupt us. Worse, the very notion of death by the spreadsheet is alive and well in big insurance.
Teabaggers think it's so cool for their politicians to rake it all in that they are willing to ride buses outside their districts to towns and cities where town hall meetings on health care reform are held. They will disrupt those meetings because their elected representatives deserve to receive handouts from the insurance companies that want to kill the teabaggers' grannies and everyone else. Teabaggers don't care that their elected representatives have Lexus level health care coverage paid for by yours truly, taxpayers including teabaggers. Nor do they mind the inconvenient fact that their pimped out, self-serving politicians are determined to deny the very same coverage they receive to their constituents.
Teabaggers enjoy being used and abused by lobbyists like Dick Armey. And the teabagging bullies have a big problem with democracy. It is their way or the highway, i.e. you are either with us or against us. Remember the cowboy diplomacy used to gin up the Republican's war with Iraq?
Yes, indeed, we've seen this pathological horror show before.
So, who are these teabaggers who are on an orchestrated mission to block health care reform?
"The more you dig the more you learn that this is a carefully orchestrated effort by special interest lobbyists and the Republican Party, who are using fringe elements on the right to protect insurance company profits and defeat health care reform," said House Dem leadership aide Doug Thornell. "The anger at these events looks very similar to what we saw at McCain/Palin rallies in the fall."
Check out the bad and the very ugly and the very sick.
Some of those teabaggers look like they are on Medicare. Oh, I forgot! Medicare is not government run.
