The Houston Chronicle has a great article about the reporter from Channel 13 who championed "the little guy." Marvin passed away yesterday, after a hard battle with Pancreatic Cancer. There are photo galleries on the Chronicle page and Channel 13's site that are a trip down memory lane like no other I have seen. The dude was colorful. He was at KTRK for 34 years.
I can't think of much more to add to it. Marvin was fun to grow up with, and brought attention to all sorts of consumer fights that needed fighting. He will be missed.
Some people are just larger than life. I know that happens a lot in Texas, but really, Marvin Zindler is just a phenomenon. He's brutally honest in his reporting for Channel 13 in Houston, and recently he announced he is battling pancreatic cancer.
In true Marvin form, he delivered this message, on air, from his hospital room. Trademark white wig and blue glasses firmly in place.
