TAKE TEXAS BACK!
A bunch of thieves, thugs, and nutcases took over Texas. Then they used it as a stepping stone to Washington, DC.

They raided our treasury, stripped our schools and handed it all to their corporate cronies.

Y'all ready to do something about it?

Texas Republican Lawmakers Honor James O'Keefe

by: Libby Shaw

Wed Jan 27, 2010 at 18:34:17 PM CST

James O'Keefe, a conservative activist who had posed as a pimp in order to set up ACORN has been arrested by the FBI for having attempted to commit a felony. O'Keefe and two others, wearing telephone company uniforms, were busted last night for allegedly  wiretapping the phones in Senator Mary Landrieu's New Orleans office.

Landrieu said: "This is a very unusual situation and somewhat unsettling for me and my staff. The individuals responsible have been charged with entering federal property under false pretenses for the purposes of committing a felony. I am as interested as everyone else about their motives and purpose, which I hope will become clear as the investigation moves forward."

Brace yourselves folks as the list of Texas Republicans who honored James O'Keefe is quite long.  My U.S. House Rep. John Culberson is on the list.  Is your representative?  See the list below the fold.

Texas GOP Hall of Hypocrites

by: Libby Shaw

Wed Oct 21, 2009 at 20:20:54 PM CDT

According to the DCCC there are 67 House Republicans  who voted against the stimulus package.  But when these no voters are back in their home states they like to brag and swagger about bringing home the bacon.    On a different level, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison joins these ranks.  She voted against the stimulus bill and yet she criticized Rick Perry for turning down federal funding for extended unemployment benefits.

Texas has its fair share of outstanding hypocrites.  Check the list below to see if your U.S. House Rep. is included in the GOP Hall of Hypocrites.  I am not shocked to admit that my Rep. is among them.  I betcha your's are too.

Pete Olson Uses a Sick Kid to Perpetuate Lies

by: boadicea

Sun Aug 30, 2009 at 10:43:24 AM CDT

I do understand that the Texas Republican Party is pretty much a shame free zone, but it appears that the synapses are not firing at all in some of its delegation.

From our friends at Bay Area Houston here's video of Congressman Olson claiming that a now healthy child who'd needed a heart transplant 17 days after birth would have been denied care under the Public Option.

Of course, it was the free market-underwritten by private insurance-that denied this mother care in the first place.

And Olson cannot even articulate a response other than hiding under a woman's maternal skirts.

"Talk to the Mom."

Perhaps she should have run for office...

TX Republican Lawmakers Rail Against Stimulus Budget But Added to Its Cost

by: Libby Shaw

Sun Mar 01, 2009 at 18:08:35 PM CST

Cross posted on Daily Kos and The Burnt Orange Report.

This morning when I opened the Houston Chronicle, one of the front page articles immediately grabbed my attention.

Texans Rip Budget Yet Add to Cost

The online edition reads:

Texas lawmakers rip budget, but seek millions

The Houston Chronicle does not single out Republicans, of course, because Texas Democrats added to the budget's costs as well. However, the Democrats are not bellowing and bellyaching about the stimulus budget while the Republicans continue to 24/7.

What hypocritical jackasses. Do Republican lawmakers actually believe they can continue to fool us with their double talk and embarrass us by their endless clown shows?

TX-22-Candidate Olson Goes From Carpetbagger to Voter Fraud?

by: boadicea

Fri Oct 24, 2008 at 09:45:18 AM CDT

Pete Olson already parachuted in to TX-22 to salvage the ruins of the Delay Republicans, but now it's clear he's a lot more than a chip off the old ideological block...

TX-22 has a competent, capable incumbent in Nick Lampson.  Why would they want to go back to rotting Republicans like Pete "A Vote in Every Zip Code" Olson?
